Payment Policy
A deposit through credit card or bank transfer is required to guarantee your spot at the course. The remaining balance has to be paid via bank transfer two weeks before a retreat starts. In case of a Yoga Teacher Training half of the remaining balance needs to be paid two month in advance, the rest of it two days before the training starts. If agreed with the Ancstral Retreats team you can pay also in cash on the day of the arrival. Please note that we accept cash in Euros (€), USD ($) or Pesos (COP) only. USD and COP are based on the exchange rate against the Euro, Ancestral Retreats defines beforehand.
Cancellation Policy
Ancestral Retreats & Academy is not responsible for cancellations, delays, or changes caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to pandemics, natural disasters, government restrictions, civil unrest, accidents, injuries, or personal health conditions arising during or after the retreat or training. This policy applies to all Yoga Teacher Trainings, retreats, or workshops organized by Ancestral Retreats & Academy.
Non-Refundable Deposit
Please note that all deposits are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances. This deposit is required to secure your spot and covers administrative costs, accommodation bookings, and other preparatory expenses.
Why We Enforce a Strict No-Refund Policy
Our training programs are residential and have limited capacity. Once your spot is reserved, it cannot be offered to another participant, which is why we require a registration fee. If you are unable to attend, we offer a refund, as long as you provide sufficient notice for us to find a replacement.
While we understand that unexpected events may prevent you from attending, running a residential program involves significant upfront costs that make last-minute changes difficult to accommodate. Your understanding and cooperation with these policies allow us to continue providing high-quality experiences for all participants.
Cancellations by Ancestral Retreats & Academy
If we must cancel a retreat, training, or workshop for any internal reason, you will receive a full refund, including the deposit. You may also choose to transfer your registration to a future event, if preferred. This does not apply to cancellations caused by external factors beyond our control, such as pandemics, natural disasters, or travel restrictions.
Cancellations by the Participant
More than 60 Days Before the Start Date:
If you cancel your registration 60 days or more before the start date, you will be refunded for any payments made, minus registration fee (plus applicable taxes).
Between 60 and 30 Days Before the Start Date:
Cancellations made within this period will not be eligible for a refund, but we allow you to transfer your booking to another program, subject to a 10% fee (plus taxes). This transfer must be used within 12 months from the original booking.
Less than 30 Days Before the Start Date:
Cancellations or requests for transfers made within 30 days of the start date are not eligible for refunds or transfers under any circumstances.
Midway Interruptions or Abandonment
If a retreat or training is interrupted due to unforeseen circumstances and more than half of the program has been completed, there will be no refunds. If the event is canceled before the halfway point, participants may re-enroll in future training at a reduced rate to cover accommodation and food.
Summary

Cancellations (More than 60 days before the start date):
Refund available minus the registration fee + applicable taxes
No refund of the fee paid under any circumstances in the last 60 days before the training.
Transfers (Between 60 and 30 days before the start date):
You may transfer your registration to another training, subject to a 10% fee + taxes, within 12 months of the original booking.
No transfers or refunds allowed in the last 30 days before the training.
Important Notes:
Ancestral Retreats & Academy accepts no responsibility for flight cancellations, delays, or costs associated with travel to and from the retreat.
By participating in our programs, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with physical activities and accept liability for any injury or discomfort experienced during the program.
Accommodation
If you have specific requests or needs for your room, we will do our best to accommodate you, however we cannot give any guarantees. All rooms are allocated on the first come first served basis, so the sooner you sign up, the more likely your requests will be fulfilled. If you do not have a roommate, you will be paired with another guest(s). If you’re joining the training with your friend/partner, please specify who your roommate will be when signing up for the course.
