Who is Ancestral Academy?

Carolina
Carolina Martínez is a mentor, facilitator, and founder of Ancestral Retreats & Academy, with many years of experience guiding individuals and groups through personal growth, life transitions, and conscious entrepreneurship. Originally from Colombia, a country rich in contrast and cultural heritage, her journey has been shaped by her roots and by years of living and studying in Southeast Asia and India.
Carolina holds a degree in Business Administration with a focus in Finance. She began her career working in the corporate world before launching several entrepreneurial projects. These experiences allowed her to explore leadership and creativity in meaningful ways. With Ancestral Retreats, she found the space to integrate her professional background with her passion for purposeful living.
She is a Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 certified teacher with over 1,000 hours of training, specializing in Himalayan Kriya Yoga, pranayama, and applied ritual. Her approach combines traditional yoga philosophy with practical tools for emotional clarity, embodied presence, and intentional living. She is also trained in Reiki and energy work, which she applies in a grounded and accessible way.
Through her mentoring, Carolina supports aspiring facilitators, leaders, and educators in designing impactful experiences—from retreats to trainings—with structure, authenticity, and vision. Her guidance is clear and down-to-earth, helping others bring their ideas to life while staying connected to what truly matters.

Marco
Marco Weimer is a mentor, facilitator, and co-founder of Ancestral Retreats & Academy. With a background in philosophy, journalism, and music, his work bridges intellectual clarity, emotional depth, and soulful embodiment. His journey began with academic studies in philosophy and years of experience as a journalist, researching and writing about startups, business, and technology for Gruenderszene.de. Marco spent years working with startups, closely observing how others brought their visions to life from the ground up. This chapter of his journey gave him valuable insight into business dynamics, creative strategy, and the inner world behind purpose-driven ideas.
Eventually, his path led him to India, where yoga became both a personal practice and a path of devotion. As a Yoga Alliance-certified teacher (E-RYT 500), Marco has completed four comprehensive trainings across India, Italy, and Colombia, with over 1,000 hours of study in Hatha, Kundalini, and Vinyasa yoga.
Marco’s mentoring is rooted in a lived philosophy: transforming meaningful questions into tangible action. He guides others to clarify what truly matters, ask the right questions, and courageously take aligned steps forward. His sessions offer a space for inspirational exchange, practical reflection, and the discovery of new perspectives—helping clients bridge inner inquiry with real-world creation.
He is especially skilled in supporting new teachers, creatives, and purpose-driven individuals to step into leadership with authenticity and grounded confidence.
