Where practice becomes embodied wisdom
What Sets Us Apart
Yoga in all its dimensions
We believe yoga is more than physical practice. Our training integrates Hatha-Kundalini, Vinyasa, Acro Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Himalayan Kriya Yoga with pranayama, mantra, ritual, and Bhakti, offering a path that is both technically grounded and spiritually alive. This is a space where practice becomes prayer, and every moment becomes part of the journey.
Ancestral Ceremonies
Engage in profound rituals like Rapé, Blue Lotus and Cacao ceremonies. Rapé, a sacred tobacco-based practice, helps ground your energy and clear mental blocks, while the Cacao ceremony fosters heart-opening connection and self-awareness.

You’ll receive personalized attention and build deep connections within a supportive community and One-on-One Mentorship to reflect, ask questions, and receive compassionate guidance – supporting your evolution as both a student and future teacher.

Who is Ancestral Academy?
Your Lead Teachers & Hosts
Carolina
E-RYT500 Yoga Teacher &
Event Facilitator
Carolina is originally from Colombia, a land of vibrant beauty, deep contrasts, and ancestral wisdom that continues to shape both her path and her work. Her journey has been further deepened through years of study in Southeast Asia and India, where she trained in holistic healing and immersed herself in ancient traditions of consciousness, ritual, and transformation.
A Yoga Alliance certified teacher (E-RYT 500) with over 1,000 hours of training, Carolina specializes in Himalayan Kriya Yoga, advanced pranayama, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Ayurveda-inspired living, sacred rituals, and ancestral ceremonies. She is also trained in Reiki and energy healing, integrating subtle body practices that support profound inner transformation, presence, and reconnection.
Her teaching bridges devotion and discipline, mysticism and embodiment, creating spaces where yoga is not only practiced, but deeply lived. With a deep reverence for ritual, the elements, and the subtle dimensions of practice, she invites students into a path of healing, remembrance, and inner awakening.
Through retreats, trainings, and ceremonial experiences, Carolina guides those who seek depth, transformation, and a more integrated experience of yoga and holistic healing. Her work is guided by devotion, warmth, and deep listening, offering practices that nourish the body, awaken the heart, and reconnect people to their own inner wisdom.
Marco
E-RYT500 Yoga Teacher, Philosopher & Musician
Marco is a graduate philosopher, passionate musician, and experienced German yoga teacher. After completing his first Yoga Teacher Training in India, he began teaching immediately at the Berlin-based school Yoga on the Move. He is the co-founder of Ancestral Retreats & Academy.
As a Yoga Alliance certified teacher (E-RYT 500) specializing in Hatha, Kundalini, and Vinyasa Yoga, Marco has completed four training programs in India, Italy, and Colombia, accumulating more than 1,080 hours of study and practice. In his classes, movement and breath are woven together to guide students into a meditative flow or into a deeper experience of steadiness and ease within each posture. His teaching supports beginners with clarity and encouragement, while also offering more advanced practitioners challenge, depth, and refinement through posture, pranayama, and the timeless wisdom of yoga.
For more than a decade, Marco has explored questions of integrative and embodied ways of being in relationship with the world. He brings the rational depth of Western philosophy into dialogue with the lived, practice-based wisdom of Eastern traditions such as the Bhagavad Gita, Patanjali, Taoism, and Zen Buddhism. This union of inquiry and experience informs his teaching, offering students a path that is intellectually grounded, spiritually alive, and deeply relevant to modern life.
As a musician, Marco is proficient in a range of instruments, including the Indian harmonium, guitar, percussion, and flutes. He brings music into each day through mantras, medicine music, and beloved songs that naturally bring people together. In this way, he creates spaces of joy, devotion, and connection that invite participants not only to practice together, but to truly meet one another.
Our Training pillars
Course Overview
Our Yoga Alliance certified 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is more than just an educational program – it’s a transformational journey. Rooted in ancient wisdom and designed for modern seekers, this immersive experience weaves together the physical, energetic, and spiritual dimensions of yoga.
Our approach is deeply holistic: you will not only build a strong foundation in asana, pranayama, and yogic philosophy, but also cultivate emotional resilience, inner awareness, and leadership from the heart. This path can be beautifully intense, true healing and self-realization often bring emotional challenges. We honor this process and guide you through it with compassion, presence, and integrity.
We keep our group small and personal of maximum 16 students, allowing space for authentic exchange, deep connection, and learning at eye level. The average group size is usually 12-14 students. This training is a sacred container where practice becomes prayer, and teaching arises from embodied experience.
You’ll graduate with the tools to teach complete classes for students of all levels, but more importantly, you’ll step into your own voice as a conscious guide – anchored in daily practice and aligned with your truth.
To support integration, we offer 1.5 days of free time each week, giving you space to rest, reflect, and explore at your own rhythm. Because growth requires both discipline and pause.
This is not just a training. It’s a return to your root. A journey inward. And an invitation to rise as a community. We offer scholarships for Colombians, please check the FAQ section.
