HIMALAYAN TRADITION MEETS SOUTH AMERICAN WISDOM
200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training
Through The Ancestral Immersion Method, every practice becomes part of a deeper journey, connecting yoga, self-discovery and the art of teaching in your own way.

OUR SIGNATURE APPROACH
The ancestral
immersion method
Every practice has a purpose. Every stage prepares you for the next. Our Yoga Teacher Training is not built around a collection of disconnected subjects. It follows an intentional journey through the seven chakras, moving from grounding and self-awareness toward expression, understanding and integration.
Approximately every three days, a new chakra becomes the focus of our practice and study. Asana, pranayama, bandhas, philosophy, energetic anatomy, somatic movement, meditation, ceremony and even the way we share food are connected to each stage.
This creates a learning experience in which the teachings are not only studied, but explored through the body, reflected upon and gradually put into practice.
Alongside this personal journey, your teaching skills develop from the very beginning. You start guiding short practices as early as your second day, receive feedback throughout the training and gradually build toward creating and teaching your own 60-minute & 90-minute class. We don’t teach you to memorize sequences or become a copy of your teachers.
First, you experience a practice. Then you observe what happens, give language to what you are learning, understand the principles behind it and discover how to apply them in your own practice and teaching.
What you take home
A Foundation to Practise. The Skills to Teach. A Voice of Your Own. A yoga teacher training should leave you with more than a certificate or a collection of sequences. Through personal practice, study, reflection and repeated teaching experience, you build knowledge and skills that you can continue developing long after the training ends.
A Deeper Personal Practice: Understand the teachings behind what you practise and discover how to make them part of your own life.
The Skills to Design Your Own Classes: Learn the foundations of anatomy, alignment, sequencing, pranayama and teaching methodology so you can design practices with understanding and intention.
Real Teaching Experience: Develop your confidence through practical teaching opportunities, individual feedback and the experience of guiding a complete class.
A Community That Stays With You: Leave with meaningful connections, shared memories and a community of practitioners and teachers to keep learning alongside.

Upcoming Events for 2026 & 2027
A journey into practice, purpose, ritual — and what comes next.
Private Beach, Palomino Colombia
200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training
November 17 – December 10, 2026
LAST SPOTS
Three and a half weeks on a private Caribbean beach beneath the Sierra Nevada, with the ocean a few steps from the shala. The days are warm, the evenings filled by the sound of the waves, and time behaves differently here: full of new impressions, and somehow slower than at home. The strangers you arrive with become the people you will stay connected with. You leave able to guide a class with confidence. You also leave knowing more about how you want to live.
Magical Lake Chivor, Colombia
200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training
February 1 – 24, 2027
EARLY BIRD
Three and a half weeks in the green mountains overlooking Lake Chivor, where clouds drift across the valley and mornings begin in the cool Andean air. Life feels quieter here, but the days are full: early morning practice, conversations about yoga and life, shared meals, and the small breakthroughs that happen when you keep showing up. Away from familiar routines, you find space to reconnect with yourself and the people around you. By the end, teaching your own class no longer feels like a distant idea. You leave with the confidence to guide others, new friendships, and a practice that feels truly your own.
“You arrive carrying more than you need. Over the weeks, some of it falls away. What is left is usually what was yours the whole time.”
What yoga means at Ancestral
Yoga education is meant to shape the whole human being.
Yoga is more than a physical practice, but the physical practice matters. We teach students how the body works, how to practise safely, and how to guide others with confidence. At Ancestral, we bring these foundations together with breath, meditation, philosophy, music, self-inquiry and ritual. Not as separate activities, but as different ways of exploring the same teachings.
Our approach is rooted in traditional yogic wisdom and enriched by the ancestral traditions of South America. We believe that the deepest understanding comes when knowledge becomes personal experience, and experience becomes something you can carry into everyday life.

What Sets Us Apart
One Connected Learning Experience
Our curriculum brings together Hatha, Kundalini, Himalayan Kriya, somatic movement, pranayama, meditation, philosophy and ceremony through The Ancestral Immersion Method. Instead of experiencing these as separate subjects, you discover how they connect. Each practice builds on what you have already explored, allowing you to go deeper as the training progresses.
Inner Purpose & Nervous System Healing
This training offers more than a certification. It is a space to slow down, regulate the nervous system, release stress, and reconnect with what truly matters. Through breath, movement, ritual, self-inquiry, and community, you are invited to find deeper meaning, emotional clarity, and a healthier relationship with your body, mind, and heart. It is a sacred pause from daily life, a journey into spiritual depth, inner healing, and renewed purpose.
Intimate Group Size
We cap every training at sixteen people, and most groups end up closer to twelve. That number is not a marketing decision. It is the largest group where a teacher can still notice that you have been quiet for two days, or that something shifted in your practice this morning, or that you need a different cue than the person next to you. In a room of forty, none of that gets seen. It also means one-on-one mentorship that is actually one-on-one, dedicated sessions where you can bring whatever is surfacing, ask the questions you did not want to ask in front of the group, and think out loud with someone who has been paying attention to you specifically.
Ceremonies with Intention
Our ceremonies are not simply additional experiences on the schedule. They are thoughtfully connected to the themes we explore throughout the training. Water, fire, cacao and other traditional ceremonial practices invite reflection on the relationship between the teachings and our lived experience. Together with movement, meditation, food and community, they become part of a wider process of experiential learning.

Why choosing us
It’s about you.
This is a Yoga Alliance certified training — created for those who seek more than a conventional certification. An immersive and deeply personal journey into the full spectrum of yoga, where rigorous practice, spiritual depth, ritual, and community come together as one.
Rooted in ancient wisdom and shaped for modern seekers, the training offers a strong foundation in asana, pranayama, meditation, and yogic philosophy — while also opening space for inner transformation. Beyond technique, we explore the emotional, energetic, and spiritual dimensions of the path.
Practice becomes ritual.
Knowledge becomes lived experience.
Teaching begins as an inner unfolding
not an imitation of someone else.
You leave with tools to teach
and something less tangible and even more essential.
A stronger connection
to your own truth, voice, and embodied leadership.
meet yourself fully.
small groups
We hold that process with compassion, integrity, and presence. Our groups are intentionally small, never more than 16, allowing for personal guidance, authentic exchange, and deep connection.

Carolina
E-RYT500 Yoga Teacher &
Ceremony Leader
Carolina is originally from Colombia, a land of vibrant beauty, deep contrasts, and ancestral wisdom that continues to shape both her path and her work. Her journey has been further deepened through years of study in Southeast Asia and India, where she trained in holistic healing and immersed herself in ancient traditions of consciousness, ritual, and transformation.
A Yoga Alliance certified teacher (E-RYT 500) with over 1,000 hours of training, Carolina specializes in Himalayan Kriya Yoga, advanced pranayama, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Ayurveda-inspired living, sacred rituals, and ancestral ceremonies. She is also trained in Reiki and energy healing, integrating subtle body practices that support profound inner transformation, presence, and reconnection.
Her teaching bridges devotion and discipline, mysticism and embodiment, creating spaces where yoga is not only practiced, but deeply lived. With a deep reverence for ritual, the elements, and the subtle dimensions of practice, she invites students into a path of healing, remembrance, and inner awakening.
Through retreats, trainings, and ceremonial experiences, Carolina guides those who seek depth, transformation, and a more integrated experience of yoga and holistic healing. Marco
E-RYT500 Yoga Teacher, Philosopher & Musician
Marco is a graduate philosopher, passionate musician, and experienced German yoga teacher. After completing his first Yoga Teacher Training in India, he began teaching immediately at the Berlin-based school Yoga on the Move. He is the co-founder of Ancestral Retreats & Academy.
As a Yoga Alliance certified teacher (E-RYT 500) specializing in Hatha, Kundalini, and Vinyasa Yoga, Marco has completed four training programs in India, Italy, and Colombia, accumulating more than 1,080 hours of study and practice. In his classes, movement and breath are woven together to guide students into a meditative flow or into a deeper experience of steadiness and ease within each posture. His teaching supports beginners with clarity and encouragement, while also offering more advanced practitioners challenge, depth, and refinement through posture, pranayama, and the timeless wisdom of yoga.
For more than a decade, Marco has explored questions of integrative and embodied ways of being in relationship with the world. He brings the rational depth of Western philosophy into dialogue with the lived, practice-based wisdom of Eastern traditions such as the Bhagavad Gita, Patanjali, Taoism, and Zen Buddhism. This union of inquiry and experience informs his teaching, offering students a path that is intellectually grounded, spiritually alive, and deeply relevant to modern life.
As a musician, Marco is proficient in a range of instruments, including the Indian harmonium, guitar, percussion, and flutes. He brings music into each day through mantras, medicine music, and beloved songs that naturally bring people together. In this way, he creates spaces of joy, devotion, and connection that invite participants not only to practice together, but to truly meet one another.
